Lost and found
I just moved to Orlando and stayed in a hotel close to airport for one night before moving to my apartment. Later in the evening, I realised that I had left my insulin in the fridge of my hotel room. Called the hotel and was told that there was nothing in the fridge and the maids didn't see any medication. Since my apartment was not too far, I drove to the hotel and I was told again that there was nothing in the room and if anybody had found it, it would have been reported.
An hour later, I get the phone call informing me that the maids had indeed found my insulin and had reported it to the desk.
No harm done;I went back to the hotel and retrieved it.
Well, I am not complaining but was happy with the outcome. I actually appreciate the front desk person who called the maid at home to check out whether there was anything found. Since it was late in the evening, I couldn't have refilled the prescription in a new and unfamiliar town.
Any lost and found stories in the hotel room or in the plane?
