As others have said, this is all about motivations for the trip. It seems this is more about the pleasure of the journey rather than simply getting to the destination, in which case option 3 looks very good. I would discount option 2 as you don’t get much of the upside than with option 3 (and a short connection means panic if the first flight is delayed for whatever reason).

Option 3 wins for me because:
• If the total transfer time is four hours, the total time in the lounge will be shorter than that. Up to 30 mins to get there, and on the basis the pax will want to maximise their onboard experience in First (as well they should), they’ll be boarding as soon as they can so cutting that 4 hour period further
• Although the CCR is ‘just a lounge’, it really is a very nice one. Great magazine collection for a 13 year old to try and work their way through
• Spa experiences to maximise (all need to be booked in advance). Perfect for a mum and 13 year old daughter
• A chance to explore and compare the other lounges if they want to – First passengers have freedom to roam all of them and it could be a fun little project to do a comparison – I know I would have liked to do that at age 13, given the chance (not that I’d ever been in a lounge at that age)
• A trip around the T5 shopping mall mid-way through the transit will break up the experience, and I’d guess they’d want to do this
• Book a cabana as well. Private bedroom type room and shower – adds a bit more uniqueness to the experience

Also, I’m assuming the next chance they’ll have to experience this won’t be any time soon.

Sometimes the journey is more important than the destination. Go for it.
