The Crown Plaza on West Madison is near the Beer Bistro, a couple blocks away on Madison, my local watering hole, which is more of a sports bar, only they don't have the sound up for games unless it is a big game. The also have good Buffalo Wings for 25 cents each on Sundays (not sure which night you're staying). No specials on Saturday nights, but great steak quesadillas and burgers too.

There are also a couple of other bars that also serve food within a block of the Beer Bistro - The Third Rail and Crossroads. All on Madison.
