Are you a PPS? Or are you just a registrant? Or are you just a Krisflyer member?

If you're already an active PPS member, you do NOT have to give your PPS number when you make a booking. You only need to give your UA number. The SQ CRS will automatically match yoru name against the PPS database and place your PPS status on the booking. That way, the agents will know immediately that you're crediting the sectors to SQ and mileage to UA.

If however you have not registered to PPS, then by just giving your Krisflyer number (as you mentioned above) will not do as that number is just a FF number and hence, the first number given (ie the Krisflyer number) on the file will get the credit and not the UA one. You need to REGISTER with PPS that you want to join PPS in order for them to activate your Krisflyer card to reflect the sector tracking.

SQ agents know exactly what to do when you show them 2 cards. When your boarding pass prints, it will show the first line under your name as the PPS number, and the second, with just the airline and status.. ie UA*G. But if you hand over a Krisflyer number .. guess where the points are going to end up?

If you're missing that, then you need to advise the agent right away.
