Firstly, do you have any REDACTED by MODERATOR idea how hard housekeepers work? We don't have time to worry about messing around trying to trick people in to earning tips. We earn minimum wage and have a small limited time to immaculately clean lots of rooms, we are over-worked and under-paid - so EXCUSE US for not being concerned enough about the whereabouts of your used shampoo bottle.
However if we don't change the shampoos etc from out of the showers, guests will complain that they do not have enough shampoo left. So our manager requests that anything that has been used should be changed. If we do not do it we are marched back into the rooms to do so.

Meanwhile, rooms that have people leaving and coming back in are building up on our list - many of them have been left in a terrible state and the hotels managers telling us the guests have arrived early and we have to leave whatever we are doing and go straight to attend to these rooms.
So yes - we will often forget small things in rooms - but trust me, our managers kick our ... and treat us like complete useless idiots for it.

Day after day we do the same thing over and over again, but I do excuse all of you, poor things, for your 5 star experiences not being quite perfect.
I urge you all to attempt a day in a housekeepers shoes, then tell me if you still feel the same with blisters on your feet and REDACTED BY MODERATOR under your fingernails.

All I can say is find another job. Obviously this one is not meant for you. BTW, i have shampoo, shaving kit, soap, sewing kit and body lotion in my room here.
