A few months ago I booked x4 redemptions in First for MAN-LHR-DXB for next Easter. Unfortunately on the return there was no ideal availability for the LHR-MAN domestic connection so the flight from Dubai lands at something like 7am and the closest LHR-MAN that was available on the redemption was the the last flight of the day. Not ideal but I booked it anyway as obviously there are some options such as spend a day in London or CCR ... or even just book 4 one way tickets to MAN for about £50 each.

However I do have a subscription to ExpertFlyer... what fare type is a redemption? That way I can keep an eye open in case it opens up and then call BA.
