I really couldn't care less about the service. I'm paying for the seat. Period.

Most often, I only pay on the HNL-EWR portion (and I'll use $$$$ for it) and it's only so I can sleep most of the way home.

Occassionally, if I can get the revup, I'll pay for it on the outbound, for no other reason than I arrive far less tired than if I was sitting in Y.

Last trip I used UA to get directly to LIH and connected in LAX. The equipment used for LAX-LIH, in F, is what I would consider a rust bucket. I couldn't believe I paid for one seat up there. The upside is that I did get 1 upgrade.
