Software: Club lounge staff is so-so, other than that great treatment.

Location: There are a couple of restaurants now around the hotel. Not great location for sightseeing, particularily the pandas are far away. Metro is fast and easy, though. Sofitel is also not the epicenter of Chengdu, but you'll definitely be quicker taking a cab from the Sofitel to sights in and around Chengdu.

No pool at the IC, I don't know about the Sofitel.
Hi there, many thanks for all the information. I think I will settle for the IC then as I have heard good reviews about it. I am an Ambassador member so when I called them they told me that i will get upgraded to a King Junior Suite if I booked a King Deluxe Feature room - so I am not sure if that Junior Suite which you mentioned is the same one which you described with the jacuzzi? My Mrs would be elated lol.
