Specifics are important
My Wife and I made EXP together last month outbound to SFO. On the return, her first as EXP, we had our flight cancelled, and the EXP desk said there were no seats going back that day (3 call backs to different bodies). At the gate we got on the next flight, in F, and the next connection, in F. The next day We used some SWUs to upgrade some Asia J fares to F. A lowball value estimate on the J to F upgrades using the current prices on the website was $25000. The fix for the irrops out of SFO was priceless. based upon other legacy air carrier actions bankruptcy doesn't bother me too much. Kinda like Greece, let's just get it done and move on. IMO $2500 is a small price to pay relatively speaking.
