You actually have this backwards. DJ does all their heavy maintenance overseas. ALEA agreed to this in their DJ Enterprise Agreement. But they want to keep the QF heavy maintenance in Australia.

Also DJ pilots recently got a 28% pay rise. But even according to them they are still paid well under the rates paid by QF. But the QF union pilots do not want QF to employ pilots in a very similar agreement to DJ and want to move the pilots employed by JQ in a agreement similar to DJ's on to the QF agreement.

I thought the unions could at-least be consistent and and ask DJ for the same deal or offer the same deal to QF as offered to DJ.
