My mum was meant to fly out of HKG this morning on QF. Since QF was advising that they would reimburse fare difference for flights cheduled up to 2 November, she went and bought a ticket on CX instead.
Tried to call QF yesterday to tell them what she had done, was on hold for 2 hours and gave up. So she went to the airport desk this morning to tell QF so that they could give the seat to the backlog and she was told the flight was departing near empty as everyone had been rebooked on other carriers.
