I just did some basic math and going with Amex Aeroplan still doesn't seem to match-up to MR. I've never transferred points so please feel free to correct me.

$250,000 annual spend

-AMEX Platinum MR points = 312,500
- Sit on them waiting for 50% transfer bonus and then transfer creating 468,750 Aeroplan pts
vs...
- Amex Aeroplan Plat $225,000 x 1.5 points = 337,500
- $25,000 x 1 point = 25,000
- Total Aerorplan points = 362,500

That's a net difference of 106,250 points per year if I can wait for the promo?
