I hadn't considered the dual Amex option. My dedicated sales rep has already called me with free concert tickets and has been pretty good at making sure I have everything I need (I really came out of the gate spending which got their attention)

For some reason I overlooked the 1.5 per dollar spent Aeroplan deal. I assumed it was 1 to 1. I'm going to shoot my rep an email and see if he'll send me this card as well at no extra charge. Worst case scenario it gives me better MLL access.

I didn't consider SPG because Amex Plat already gives gold status. If I could get my hands on a Canadian Hilton card I'd drop everything and go straight to it.

Thanks for the great replies.

If you split up some of your spending you will get better AE points (1.5 per after 25k in spend annually). Then you are not depending on a bonus transfer time to Aeroplan, which may or may not be offered when you need it.
