What's the phrase on the safety spiel again? "If you can't locate your lifejacket, please ask a member of staff"?
I take that to be a gentle nudge to check that it's actually there, but then again that might have been as a result of reading something on FT!
Always a good idea. Whilst not wanting to alarm any FT'ers who are a tad nervous about flying, it's as well to be mindful that, if the unthinkable happened, there may not have much time to fumble about for a lifejacket so being familiar with its whereabouts would be helpful.
Above all, please remember to not inflate your lifejacket until you are safely out of the aeroplane and do whatever it takes to stop any other idiot pulling the toggle! A bulky lifejacket full of air could hamper your ability to make a clean escape.
