Yes, as much as I wanted to sign up for the 100K BA points chase card and have a reason to frequent the FT BA forum (where civility seems to mostly prevail), I could not see a benefit for me. My needs are for coach, intra-Europe flights and there was no way I could see the 100K gift doing anything but costing me money. It was a very frustrating experience to look that gift horse in the mouth.
