Good point but *S has no appeal to me. *G is worth it.
These are short runs as you figured out. Around Y70,000/RT - 2x a month each year.
Some airlines do mileage and/or some do number of flights.
I haven't seen NH do "number of flights" (like 30x O/W) to give you status.
Seems to be thresholds of 25,000, 50,000 etc. 50,000 being *G.
