Unlike UA, each of the other airlines referenced above actually have a true First Class product, which people pay real money to fly. SQ/NH/LH/LX are able to command premium prices because they don't fill their F cabins with upgrades, mileage awards or employees. If you want to fly First, buy an F ticket or fly UA.
