Hi

My UK passport is only a few years old, but is incredibly tatty. I also have an Irish passport, and so would prefer not to renew the UK passport until it naturally expires in 6 years time, and thus use the Irish passport.

Would this cause a problem with entry to the USA? I presume my finger prints will match against a UK passport? Or would it be less hassle from a USA entry point of view to just cough up and renew my UK passport?

I presume others on this forum with multiple passports will have some experience
