BA complaint from Feburary still unresolved
Hi guys,
In February I flew out to NYC with in F. I booked as a flight+hotel package. Whilst in NYC I experienced serious issues with hotel (Radisson at Lexington). These issues included bare wires around the bedroom, blood on my sheets and a few other minor issues in the hotel.
Further to the above my return flight was less than satisfactory. The JFK ground crew were beyond exception in terms of quality. Moving me to an earlier flight, opening the F check in for me (as it was closed as I arrived quite a few hours before any BA flight was due to depart), escorting me through security to the head of the line and opening the F lounge 20 minutes early. Things sadly went downhill when I went on the flight.
At boarding they never called for F or CW passengers ahead of WT. This meant I never boarded till last. Once on board the aircraft I was informed "your seats over there through the galley.". I found this highly rude however accepted it as nothing to be overly concerned about.
The staff then came round to inform me that I must order now as dinner would be served straight after take off. Something I protested to the CSD about as this was not CW, the CSD however would not budge.
Immediately after dinner I asked for my bed to be set up whilst I went to change (I was away for maybe 15 mins. (I had to go to the galley for WT+ to get a packet of crisps). Upon my return I had not had my bed set up. It took me a trip the UD to the CSD to reiterate needing my bed set up. Around 20 minutes later someone came forward and looked at me asked me to get up sot he bed could be set up and have a pleasant sleep.
I raise these concerns with BA through Special Services at the CCR on return to LHR, I also raised this by telephone and by e-mail. I received to e-mails one accepting receipt of the calls and e-mails. And the second telling me it was under investigation and to allow 4-6 weeks for a full investigation.
It is now October nearly November, and I have received no response from BA. I did get 15,000 BA miles after a complaint on arrival at new york about an issue with IFE on my outbound.
I wonder if anyone has been in similar situation as me and how would you the FT community approach this again. I really do want this resolved out of principle at the minute.
