I called the hotel and what they call a suite on the booking site is really just a large room (i.e., junior suite) but still it is likely to be better than the other choices in town.
The hotel has one Presidential suite but I suspect the last president who might have stayed here was Woodrow Wilson, so I'm not really tempted.
Of course, not luxury, but the best I am likely to do.

Edited to add: holey moley, the hotel just confirmed that the "suites" are 400 sqft! I don't even want to THINK what a regular room is like.
Eek. The Marriott may be worth a call? They have a couple of Presidential/Governors suites on their websites that at least look to be of a normal size and 4-star standard, though by no means luxurious.
