I have one of those from Sac State. Happily retired now from my last position as a supervisor in a Comm Center in the Bay Area. There's a retired dispatcher from San Jose PD here (we see each other occasionally as we're both AA and Hyatt people), and an officer that formerly worked for Reno PD and is now teaching on the east coast. Think we also have a dispatcher from Texas or New Mexico that I've seen. The only active police officer I've noticed has been posting over in one of the travel security forums and works at an airport.
A lot of posters here don't talk about their occupations, or choose a screen name that you would not be able to assign an occupation to. I can only recall two officers I worked with that did regular international travel so it might be a career choice that doesn't work well with serious travel due to schedules and court time. I was fortunate to work a 4 day work week and 12 weeks vacation a year (banked overtime, holidays, annual leave) so travel always fit into my schedule, but don't think that's typical for most in jobs with shift work.
