Excuse me for not understanding, but do you mean a copy of a computer program that you purchased legally, or a program used by attorneys?

My fear is that I'm going to get the "worst of both worlds," in that my jumbo laptop will be heavy and a pain to lug around but still will not be as satisfying to work on as a traditional desktop (all my current desktops are six or more years old, so even a cheap laptop is going to be a speed improvement!).
I have such a computer in my collection of machines for use as my everyday computer, not for mobile purposes because battery life is poor. The specs will explain that:
i7-740 1.73 GHZ processor
64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate
8 Gigs RAM
256 GB SSD
1920 x 1080 FHD 16.4" display
Mine is a Sony, F series, custom-to-order although I am confident that Lenovo and other companies make something similar.
Another idea is a blend between your two choices, a
Sony Z, as long as money is no object.
