Though it will come down to bandwidth, I wonder if the free sites are bandwidth limited? So even if you paid for real access, just because you are hitting dl.com you get stuck with the non paid users.

It is certainly not a dl.com issue, as the site would not even know it was being accessed via go-go (unless they intentionally put code in to do so).

Of course the obvious answer is that dl.com has to many pretty pictures.

Comparing to an app makes no sense, apps vastly reduce bandwidth compared to web pages.
