This isn't completely accurate. AA operates 763's with their international angled lie-flats biz seats on this route as an "F" cabin. And they do so from 2x daily flights from DFW, so you do not have to go all the way to LAX to get to HNL.

I can't comment on comparing the service, as I've not been on this flight on CO, but the hard product is not a recliner style seat like you would find on the usual AA domestic F. It would be if you were on a 757. There's no in-seat IFE on the 763's, though, and that's a bummer.
