I'm in Bangkok now and all is well here at the InterContinental. It's pretty quiet here now with not many visotors coming. Actually nice for a change!
Tonight is supposed to be the peak of flooding danger with the high tide but no one knows for sure. According to the local papers, BKK airport is very well protected. A Japanese engineering did a risk assessment and their judgment was that the airport was at very little risk of flooding. Dykes are 3.5m with water at only 0.8m and reservoirs are 25% full.
I thought about not coming but decided to keep my plans. Glad I did. My suggestion would be to to keep your current schedule.
