It could be. But really, the "1%" is even less than 1% in Latin America, and the wealth they have make the lower part of the 1% in the USA seem almost trivial. Once you reach a certain wealth point, it wouldn't matter if the fare was $2000 or $10000 for the J seat - it is the best seat on the plane, and it is what you buy. And, it doesn't materially affect your budget one way or the other. With 16 seat J cabins, it is only going to get worse.
