I'll be comparing it to JL in May. I've booked a trip on JL5/6 (JFK-NRT) and when I called to request a Kaiseki meal JL said that for that particular flight a Kaiseki and Escoffier meal is loaded for every F passenger (they over-cater by 100%). Not true of other US flights, but also for some flights to Europe.
