Of course, internal Malaysian fares will always be extremely low because they reflect the lower per capita income of residents. As do internal Thai fares for locals, and similar fare structures in other low per capita income countries. Singapore is a high income centre, and thus its fares reflect that. Still, will be interesting to see how this evolves, and what is will do to SQ. [A bit like how BA is now being affected by the Ryanairs of the world...]
