Has anyone been here recently. I see sonomawine has but anyone else?

When you read the reports on tripadvisor it would appear that this place should be condemned. Roaches, bad service, dirty pools, dwindling buildings, etc. I thought this was a good place in the past but has it gone too far south?

What are other possibly better recommendations or the palm springs area?
