When is your membership year end ? as has just been said if its before the change in the Tier levels or else you might need to do a fair bit more flying.

BA silver will come in very handy if you ever need to do any internal flights within America, if you do you can put it through AA and credit to your BAEC account but gain domestic lounge access within the USA, something with AA's own FF scheme doesnt offer.

Like i said, to me its a Yes, but it just depends on what you think yourself, money, time etc.
