I don't want to post too much details of the conversation but feel free to PM me if you want to know all the gory bits. Here are a key points I will post up:
- she asked me at what price would I be willing to compromise on as I told her the 30% off current rack rates offer is ridiculous. I answered (politely) that it depends on what Marriott thinks their reputation is worth since they've issued confirmation, but of course, Marriott should honour $144.
- she will seek management feedback on how to handle this (so there is a chance they might honour it), she aims to have solution by Monday.
