I am flying from LA to KUL with a stop in Shanghai for a nephew's wedding. There are 12 in the family flying on China Eastern. Arrangements were made through a 'friend' travel agent and I'm just finding out that the booking class, X and Q will not earn Delta miles. Should I just join Eastern miles and earn with that program? Any idea on what I can do? I hate to miss out on all those miles, is there anything I can do? Please help!
