Anecdotaly, I admit I have never flown out of JFK, but compared to airports I've used: LAX, SFO, LAS, MIA, ORD, ATL to name a few, MCO is a dream.
Another anecdote: last time I was in the MCO security line, last month, the elderly couple behind me couldn't stop telling me how much better MCO was vs. the airport they'd come from: PHL.
Can't image why MCO is in the top 5.
Public transportation isn't good. Car rental isn't at the airport. Walking distances are not short but not extremely long either. Shopping is not much better. Lines are longer. There are a lot of flights and not one airline with total domination.
