Figure it takes five minutes to walk the few blocks to the parking lot, two minutes to get the car and five minutes to get back to the ship to pick them up. It's really not that much different than waiting for any other type of transportation from the cruise terminal. They don't have to wait outside if it's raining, you can call them when you pull up and they can come outside when you get there.
Ah, my mistake. Parking prices shouldn't differ much a few blocks away. In my previous post, I was referring to using a hotel near the airport (JFK or LGA) as a parking lot to get a "real" discount.
