Just an update to my earlier post - now I'm 0 for 3 the past four weeks at the C30 DFW security entrance.
I stopped and spoke with whom the TSA person controlling the scanner/WTMD line identified as a supervisor.
The "supervisor" wasn't any help with trying to understand why i have never been granted expedited screening even though the known passenger/traveler was "checked" and my CBP number was included in my AA account profile. I was handed a bookmark size TSA pre-check marketing brochure and told to look at their website. When I repeated that I had already opted in and my AA profile has reflected as much for weeks, I was then told to contact AA to find out why it it wasn't working.
I called AA customer service and they verified my reservations have been submitted with the traveler number (my 9 digit CBP #) and everything should be working fine.
At this point, I'm chalking it up to bureaucratic incompetence and will just go to the shortest security line, closest to my departure gate (btw, C30 seems to be one of the slowest security entrances at DFW).
