Is the $49 annual fee worth it for the 15k miles and 5k discount(does it apply to $49 card?)

Or should I save the $$. I have 55k on US Air currently and lots on other programs.
Well, it's worth it to us since we applied with the $50 statement credit.

I feel cheated that my once in a lifetime bonus was 15k miles instead of 25k. Dividend Miles Select (the 5k discount thing) does apply with this card.

Had absolutely no issues getting the MileagePlus Explorer Card, so that's where the bulk of my spending will go. The US Airways cards are getting cancelled after a year. Way to go, Barclays.
