The island is not my favorite in The Maldives... I love W and Island Hideaway most in terms of island itself. I think Jumeirah can be the best in The Maldives in terms of their personalized experience, but I don't understand why they will have to charge up to 4 times more than Four Seasons.
I did see the over water villa and liked my beach villa more. My favorite villas in The Maldives is still Landaa Giravaru's beach villa and W's Ocean Oasis. Two completely different experience, but both gave me an incredible overall feeling. I never though a W could be memorable, but W Maldives can't be compared with W in a city.
I have also had a chance to check out Conrad and no it's not among the very best in The Maldives, but I think the value is great. 150 rooms is way too much for me, but it's excellent for families.
Thanks again. When I was looking at your video, I was thinking "I liked the beach villa at the FS Landaa Giravaru MUCH better". I know that not everyone is a fan of that resort (nor of the beach villas there), but I think the design of the FSLG beach villa is better than the design of the Jumeirah villa.
I also do not understand how Jumeirah can hope to sustain (or justify) the prices that they want to change. I know the Maldives has become more and more expensive as of late, but the Jumeirah prices are at another level entirely.
