I've tried to search every possible thread about this - between the official press release to trip reports, and haven't seen anything really about this question.

I just booked LH with miles via United, from ORD to FRA in September 2012. It's listed as a 744 - but have any of the flyer guru's on here heard anything about ORD jets being replaced with the new 748's by late 2012? Flying business class, and would love to not have the slanted seats. As far as I can tell from other forums, the 744's aren't getting biz class seat updates, just first.
