Is this the most annoying lounge in the Universe? It isn't really a BA lounge; it is a Salon shared with some other airlines. It's a bit scrubby, but by far and away the most irritating feature is the DING DONG doorbell that goes off - very loudly - every time anyone goes near the doors.
Much as I am trying to ignore it, it is successfully drilling its way into my brain.
It's because everyone and their dog thinks they are entitled to acces ... but the staff see the lounge as a staff club for all airport staff including cleaners - and squirel themselves away from the desk at the entrance to have a gossip with a glass of champers and a bit of curly quiche in the kitchen.
Ding dong tells them to saunter out, grimace and eject.
