I'd like to find a good gym/spa to use when I'm in NYC. I stay at a friend's apartment in the East Village so I don't have access to a hotel gym/spa. Last time I was there I pretended to be moving to the city and got a trial membership to Equinox, which I loved, but I can't do that again. I'd be happy to pay for a day pass, but they won't do that. Will David Barton sell day passes? I guess I could pay for a massage at Equinox and then get free access to the gym. A steam room is a must have. Any suggestions?
