1) I have read that there is a walkway from Terminal 3 to the TBIT, is this true? Or will we need to do the security scenario all over again
2) If we do have to pass through security, is there an expedited security line for first class/business class passengers (i have no "status", but am in the fortunate situation of traveling in business class this time around)
Thanks!
There is no airside connection between T3 and TBIT so you have to exit T3 and walk. Fortunately, this will only take 2 minutes.
You will need to re-enter the secured zone at TBIT. There is a priority line for premium cabin passengers at the TSA stations but you are leaving at peak departure time so the lines will be long either way. The north side TSA entrance tends to have shorter lines for evening departures because all the Asian airlines (CI, BR, CX, KE, JL, QF, MH, SQ etc) usually use the south side gates so inexperienced travelers queue up at the south TSA stations thinking that's where they need to go. Both sides funnel to the same inner hallway so go with the shorter line (usually the north side). The north side TSA stations are also closer to the elevator to airline lounges. Which brings me to the final point: enjoy the CX lounge, it's nothing special but I never turn down free beer and snacks
