Shall I gloat on the fact that I, Guy Betsy was the very first PPS member in North America way back in 1985!

Those days, the membership pack was impressive. I received a huge leather desk folder, about 3 magazine subscriptions, a couple of pens, a lead crystal paperweight of some sort.... SQ had to track me down at the end of 1984 as I had recently moved from Toronto to London, and then back to Toronto in 1985.

Alas my flying ceased drastically and I duly lost it. It wasn't a number then but rather a series of letters which looked like a PNR. It still worked right up till Krisflyer / PPS came on line. And the remarks of being the first was in the profile, which also consisted of favourite drinks, snacks, hotels, quirks.. (ie doesn't like bulkhead seat etc). When Krisflyer/PPS took over, a new passenger identity was created. PPS didn't give me one because I didn't maintain the status.

I've only recently only become a PPS again. And it was fun for a time when SQ offices in London and Toronto remembered me for a while.. as their 1st PPS member!

Ahhh memories. <sniff>
