Good point: Do the math.

450 USD is less than 450 EURO, or CHF.
VAT charges or not, the addition of another 50 EURO shipping charges raises the cost again.

I believe that Rimowa prices in North America are a bargain currently, compared to Europe. There are exceptions of course, such as Bloomingdale's pricing on Rimowa and other luggage marques.
