In the USA the price is cheaper on most RIMOWA than anywhere else in the world. In the USA the pricing is uniform and retailers have to toe the line, but I have had the best service from the RIMOWA flagship boutiques in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive and Las Vegas. The Honolulu one seems super busy all of the time when I am there with Japanese and Chinese so when I went in the service was only so so compared the mainland stores.

Vegas told me they would drop ship to anywhere on the Mainland USA within 2 to 3 days max with FREE shipping and no tax. I haven't taken them up on the offer yet, so can't say it if works, but I would trust only a real RIMOWA flagship store and they have all stock of every single thing Rimowa makes as well colors and styles unavailable anywhere else in the USA or even Europe. No website yet they said it is coming soon.

Finally, I would only buy from the real RIMOWA boutiques because of the after service. I had a problem once and the guy no questions asked busted a move fixed the damn thing with a smile and I thought i was going to get a shoeshine, but only got a nice drink and some cookies while I waited. He told didn't matter where I was in the world, he would service me with overnighting parts or badgering local repair centers worldwide with the power of the brand retribution! Guy was cool! Forgot his name, but he worked at the Beverly Hills store. Not sure he would do that for you if you didn't buy from them though.
