Only snafu encountered, was breakfast service on my last day, which was a bit of a cluster**** - and highly irregular. Otherwise, fantastic hotel great access to shopping nearby and you get to look down at the Four Seasons next door
I would second this. I stayed there in June (just a few weeks after opening). They were clearly still working out some of the kinks with opening--furniture for the outdoor dining area, not all floors were open, etc.). But having said that, we were upgraded to a Caroline Astor suite, which was very nice. It was roomy, nicely designed, contemporary without being overdone. The service was excellent, the butler service was appreciated though we didn't really use the butler at all, other than to get reservations at the Thai restaurant in the Four Seasons next door. As an aside, why don't they have a Thai food restaurant at the St. Regis? I really liked it, and would gladly stay again. I wouldn't necessarily say the same thing about the soulless St. Regis in Bali however...
