I'm considering a good deal on a flight from Kiev -> JFK with an overnight stop in Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME).

I'm a US Citizen with no Russian visa so I won't be able to enter the country. Would I still be able to find a place to sleep in the airport inside the transfers zone? Or must I cross immigration first?

Also is sleeping a manageable thing in the airport?

Please advise.
