Same-day confirmed changes within 6 hours are $25 on Alaska, http://www.alaskaair.com/content/tra...t-changes.aspx. For MVP Gold members and anyone on their reservation, the fee is waived and there is no 6-hour limit (any flight on the same day can be chosen). Standby travel is free but only available for full-fare and elite passengers (and also for all passengers on SEA-GEG and SEA-PDX shuttle flights).

Same-day confirmed changes within 3 hours are $75 on United, http://www.united.com/page/article/1,,52142,00.html. For Gold and higher elites and anyone on their reservation, the fee is waived. Standby travel is $75, free for Gold and higher elites, and does not carry a 3-hour restriction.
