In New Zealand, it is considered relatively poor form to refer to unpublished benefits that one has received on occasion as if they are the norm as it may create a (rather expensive) expectation on the part of others, and we wouldn't want that.

Also, in my opinion, many of the favours NZ have done should not be mentioned in writing at all. The best deals are done when no-one is looking.
