Standard answer has been "Your fare doesn't allow that".. it is a rather different situation when the airline wants to shift you!

What's your success rate when it was NOT QF's idea?

Domestic flights I always use the check-in machines and it actually asks ME if I want an earlier flight, weekends, weekdays, quite often actually!
