Ok, I'm just confused now. So let's say on Nov 15, 2011 (just before program changes take effect), I book a ticket that departs on Oct 1, 2012. Then in Dec 2011 I find an open award seat that departs on Nov 19, 2012 that I really want to change to. Can I or can I not do that?
Technically my ticket was ticketed on Nov 15, 2011, so does that mean it is only valid until Nov 15, 2012? So therefore, I cannot change the departure to
after this date?
Or as the previous post is saying, the year validity starts from date of
departure instead, meaning I can now push the date of my departure all the way to Oct 1, 2013?? My head is spinning
